Trainings games and events are planned around the School of Medicine calendar to achieve maximum attendance. We promote teamwork, inclusiveness for both experienced and novice players in all offered codes, cultural diversity and awareness and overall health and wellbeing.

Griffith Boardriders club (GBR) is as much a social club as we are a sporting club, aiming to get around people and maximise the good vibes!

GBR is a club for ALL surfing, skating and skiing/snowboarding abilities, with the ultimate aim being for members to gather for the mutual love of the sport. Surf/skate camps, learn to surf days, surf comps for the shredders, skate comps, learn to surf days and the notorious New Zealand trip are the crux of the events... And of course some huge parties. So lets get wild!

We run social sessions one day a week in the evening. Our mission is to spread the sport of Ultimate Frisbee to as many people as possible and foster an inclusive and fun environment for players of all skill levels.

Gugc social tennis club welcomes all levels of play, from complete beginners to experienced players. everyone should enjoy their time at our social club and make quick connections with like-minded people.

Membership Benefits
Members will be able to attend social nights where court bookings and tennis balls are supplied. All you need to bring is your positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a tennis racquet to the court and have a great time.
If you do require tennis coaching, group or individual coaching can be arranged with a certified coach at your expense. The tennis club will help supply the court hire at no additional cost.

Griffith University's Cheer Team offer both beginner and intermediate levels of cheer. We are a competitive sporting club attending competitions throughout the year with the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF) and have the opportunity to compete at a national level. We perform hip hop and contemporary in dance and a number of skills in cheer ranging from basic stunts to acrobatic stunts and tumble (very similar to gymnastics) as well as developing teamwork and friendship along the way.

By joining the Griffith University Cheer and Dance program, members will have the choice of taking part in either our cheer program, dance program or both! Taking part in the team will allow members to become involved with the university on a social level, where athletes can create new social connections in a safe and conflict-free environment. Working towards performing at a number of competitions, members can get active whilst developing healthy competition and sportsmanship. Helping build confidence and team work through the support of our team, members will learn valuable skills to take into their everyday life while still having fun.

The Griffith University Marlins are an Underwater Hockey Club, who play regular games at the Griffith University Pool. Underwater Hockey is a team sport where 6 people work together to push a lead puck across the bottom of a pool and into the opposing teams goal tray. Players wear a mask, snorkel and fins to make this game a snorkeller, diver or other sporting enthusiast's dream. WARNING: This game is incredibly fun and addictive! As a member of the club, you are offered weekly training sessions on campus, our connections to the wider beach volleyball community, and supportive sports development.
We enter inter-varsity competitions against other university teams around the state and country that require a level of competitiveness upon trial.
The club also competes in indoor volleyball until such time a new club of the Student Guild is established.

We are the Griffith Uni GC Netball Club. We compete in both social and competitive competitions on the Gold Coast. We represent Griffith in a wide range of competition's, with the UniSport Nationals (Div 1) being our main focus and major competition for the year. However, we also compete in a few of the Gold Coast's club competition's on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights that are open to Griffith students and alumni!
