Masquerade & Mischief

The Masquerade and Dungeons are back again in Trimester 2.

Step into a world of heroism, magic, and imagination!
Join Rising Phoenix Association for an evening of arts and crafts, and tabletop games.
- Choose your favorite character from a broad selection of fantasy archetypes.
- Create that character's mask from an easy crafting pack with all of the materials you'll need.
- Engage in an imagined world of mythical creatures, plot twists, and adventure.

What to expect:
From the moment you walk through the door, you will be transported to a whole other world full of mystery and magic. With adventure and fantasy music setting the mood, we’ll invite you to choose your new persona for the evening. Each character comes with not only a stylishly designed mask that you can create and take home after the event, but also a backstory and special ability that may or may not be useful for the upcoming adventure.
Once you have made your decision, you will open your craft pack to reveal your character’s special ability and their mask design. All materials are included for you to create your character’s mask, but you can bring along any of your arts and craft materials to the event if you wish to personalize the mask further. No advanced arts skills are required; so long as you can paint, you’ll do great!

The crafting stage will last about an hour and a half. Alternatively, you can dive straight into the role-playing game, (RPG), of Tiny Dungeon as soon as you discover your character’s special skill.

We will be splitting up into 2-4~ groups, with each group having a different plot. But don’t worry, we’ll give you a description of each setting so you can pick your favorite. For the next hour and a half, we invite you to bring your character to life and enjoy the adventure of Tiny Dungeon. Don’t stress if you’ve never played this game or any RPG before; Tiny Dungeon is super easy to learn and is perfect for beginners. No RPG experience needed.

At 6:30pm, we’ll be bringing in a delicious Domino's dinner. Dietary requirements can be specified when getting your tickets.

Only want to participate in one part of the event? No worries! Once all characters have been chosen, you’ll be split into groups of your choice which will immediately start different activities. A selection of board games will be provided if you simply wish to enjoy the atmosphere without participating in the main activities.
There is no dress code, but if you would like to show off your best fantasy themed outfits/costumes, you are more than welcome to do so.

There are limited spots for the dungeon and dragons, first come first given the character.
