Life Skills workshop: Basic Car Maintenance and Safety
If you want to feel more confident looking after your car, come along to our new practical Life Skills workshop covering the basics of car maintenance and road safety.
In this 1.5-hour workshop, you'll learn what’s happening around your car, including brakes, discs, tyres, shocks, and exhausts, as well as what’s under the bonnet, including how to check fluids, filters, spark plugs, batteries, and how to attach jumper leads.
You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions during a Q&A and get recommendations on what to include in a handy travel/emergency kit for your car.
It doesn't matter if you’re a new driver on the road, learning to drive, or just want to brush up on your car knowledge; this workshop will help you feel more prepared for the road.
Ticket includes:
-
Parking on site (bring along your car to ask specific questions!)
-
Safety glasses & Hi-Vis vest
-
Car Maintenance & Safety 101 Session
We aim to make the event accessible to everyone, so please contact the team if you need support.
