Ready to start your Auslan journey?
Join us for a 7 week Auslan course that are friendly, hands-on sessions designed for beginners or those early in their Auslan learning journey. No experience needed, just curiosity and a willingness to give it a go.This is a relaxed, peer-to-peer learning experience where you'll pick up everyday signs through real conversation and practice with others. Come and learn together in a supportive space.
Your ticket includes the 7 week course -
- Monday - 3rd August
- Monday - 10th August
- Monday - 17th August
- Monday - 24th August
- Monday - 31st August
- Monday - 7th September
- Monday - 14th September
What to expect:
- In person at Brisbane South Campus(Nathan)
- Beginner friendly
- Conversational & hands-on
- Starting weekly from Week 4, on Mondays. Students are encouraged to attend all sessions to ensure they don't fall behind, as the course builds on skills learned each week.
- This program spans over 7 weeks in a supportive group setting with up to 50 students. Everyone will have the chance to learn and practice AUSLAN together.

Terms and Conditions
Student Status - Eligibility:
- You MUST be a currently enrolled Griffith University Undergraduate, Postgraduate or GELI (Griffith English Language Institute) student at a Brisbane, Logan or Digital Campus to register (Gold Coast Students are not eligible to attend this event).
- Your student status will be verified prior to the event.
- A valid Griffith University Student ID card (or proof of student status) MUST be shown on arrival at the event.
- By attending this event, you consent to being included in any photographs/videos taken by the event photographer/videographer, which may be used in publications and for promotional purposes, unless you inform the event organisers or the photographer/ videographer otherwise.
- By attending this event, you agree that you will act in accordance with the Griffith University Student Charter.
- Students will be expected to uphold professional standards of behaviour (including on social media), and any failure to do so will be addressed in line with the Griffith University Student Misconduct Policy.
