Griffith CritCare Society is a medical interest society for Griffith University Medical Students interested in pursing a career in the various fields of Critical Care medicine. We aim to educate and broaden students across the fields of emergency medicine, anaesthetics, intensive care, trauma and acute surgery, and retrieval medicine.

We aim to deliver high-yield clinical skills workshops and educational seminars which will be developed and presented by current practicing doctors. Will will also run the annual Griffith Emergency Medical Challenge in April each year for students to put their clinical skills into practice, as well as multiple social and networking events.

Griffith Racing Team competes in Formula SAE, a worldwide competition with almost 600 competing universities. Students design, construct and race an internal combustion or electric open wheel race car of up to 710cc/80kW over the course of a year culminating in an annual competition in Melbourne.

The competition allows for students to develop their skills in design, management, manufacturing, communication, research and business operations in a real world environment. All disciplines welcome.

We will be meeting on a regular basis at the Nathan Campus to enjoy the fine sport of Table Tennis! We will be providing tables, rackets and table tennis balls for use by members. Griffith University's Cheer Team offer both beginner and intermediate levels of cheer. We are a competitive sporting club attending competitions throughout the year with the Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF) and have the opportunity to compete at a national level. We perform hip hop and contemporary in dance and a number of skills in cheer ranging from basic stunts to acrobatic stunts and tumble (very similar to gymnastics) as well as developing teamwork and friendship along the way.

The Griffith University Volleyball Club, otherwise known as GUVC has been going since 1994. When the club was first started it had 19 members from just Nathan campus in its first year. GUVC offers both social volleyball for not just Griffith university students but also the public and training each week for competitive teams and players who train for University Games and other external competitions.

We endeavour to provide high-yield clinical interpretation workshops which are developed and presented by us in consultation with doctors. Membership includes access to all of our events free of charge, our workbook resources, and information and social events. The club plans to service its members by organising and hosting informational workshops relevant to internal medicine specialties. These workshops are directly tailored to link with medical education content and hence provide relevant and useful information to our members. Additionally, these workshops will include speakers and presenters from the medical specialties, such as radiologists and cardiologists, which allows members to network with their future colleagues and gain more insight into medical specialties.

Moreover, the workshops include tutors who are junior doctors which allows members to get an insight into early career opportunities to be involved in their medical specialty of choice.
